As much as we enjoyed Granada, we are ready for the beach.

A bit of a fiasco with the transfer in spite of paying for Charlie and the extra bags, the shuttle showed up with no space.  Well, Patricia at Hotel el Maltese is amazing and fixed things up, so after another 20 min delay we were on our way.   A young driver on his cell phone, one call after the other – after several call I gathered enough of the conversations to realize he was trying to find another Taxi …. but for why?  Half way through we found out – were dumped/transferred to a smaller taxi on the side of the road, not an inch of space to spare.  We were worried the bags, crate etc. would not fit but in the drivers words, “Nigaragua nada es impossible”.  Our AirB&B host is something special – not in a good way she puts the air in Air b&b;  I will leave that interpretation open.

San Juan del Sur is a Gong show … so obviously the girls are having a blast.  I did manage to do a few drawings and painting … here are a couple of Photos and Painting from San Juan del Sur.

This windy little corner in San Jaun del Sur, not only provided a wonderful inspiration but I meet several locals who stopped by for chats including an distinguished gentleman who is an local artist from Managua and a past presidential candidate in the last general election.  A women from Sweden who had a gallery here and is now building an artist retreat accompanied by an offer to return and teach.  Hmmmm interesting how art brings people together from all over the world.

This little study was done early in the mooring just the street from our accommodations sitting at the Central Park .  Still a bit of painting rust on my brush as you can see by the tin roof.
