Our adventure begins in Catania, where we’ll wander through ancient Greek and Roman ruins, using the city as a base to explore the charm of medieval towns like Taormina and Castelmola, as well as the majestic Mount Etna.
The tour continues south to Ragusa, offering the chance to explore UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Syracuse’s archaeological wonders and the awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. We’ll then head to Palermo and Cefalù, where you’ll have the opportunity to draw and paint under the expert guidance of Mark Glavina, founder of Travelling Brush.
Along the way, indulge in world-renowned Sicilian wines, savor authentic local delicacies, and unwind in scenic, tranquil gardens. Whether you’re captivated by art, history, or nature, this tour offers an immersive experience of Sicily’s most iconic destinations.
Arrival in Catania airport, individual transfers to our hotel in in Acitrezza, located conveniently between Catania and Taormina, offers a picturesque coastline with stunning views as well as the majestic Mount Etna. Enjoy a quick orientation walk before happy hour and orientation meeting at the hotel before our first dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Castelmola, is a picturesque medieval village above Taormina, known for its narrow streets, ancient stone buildings, and the ruins of the Norman Castle. Continue to Taormina, the "pearl of the Mediterranean," and stroll through its historic streets to the Greco-Roman theatre, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Naxos
Mount Etna, the highest (c. 3350m) volcano in Europe and one of the largest and most active in the world, nowadays Unesco World Heritage Site. At lunch time visit one of wineries on the slopes on Mont Etna and enjoy (wine tasting with pairing of typical Sicilian food
