Our first full day with the last guests arriving, tired but happy and safe. It is amazing how quickly I have become oriented to this massive city.
Ok well our little corning of the old city of Istanbul. Our hotel is situated in the perfect location, clean, quiet and wonderful staff – not to mention the fabulous breakfast. We are just blocks from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace the heart of the Ottoman Empire. Today i took our group for a walk about with some amazing images.

I was attracted to this high vantage point because of the challenging perspective; as I painted I learned about Dubrovnik from the perspective of two locals caught in the daily riggers of mass tourism.
