Just around the corner from our apartment, this afternoon painting was done in two goes.
The light drops very fast here so day one I did the drawing and went back the next day at exactly the same time to paint it. I am really happy with this painting and how I managed to capture the moment of light.

I was attracted to this high vantage point because of the challenging perspective; as I painted I learned about Dubrovnik from the perspective of two locals caught in the daily riggers of mass tourism.
